Technician Profiles

Level 2 assistant technicians must have sufficient knowledge and experience to be qualified for assuring their own safety. This includes an understanding of lockout/tagout procedures and requirements, arc-flash and shock risk assessments, and other facets of hazardous electrical energy control procedures.

Level 3 and 4 technicians are capable of supervising lower level technicians and are responsible for the safety of others. Level 4 is capable of supervising large projects and multiple crews, and can work independently. These individuals are qualified to provide guidance and are capable of performing electrical power switching.
